Academy graduate James Vennings will make his full league debut for the Addicks this afternoon in the first home league game of the Thomas Sandgaard era.
The 20-year-old midfielder drew praise from Lee Bowyer following Charlton’s penalty shootout win in the EFL Trophy on Wednesday.
Marcus Maddison, who joined the club on Thursday, will be on the bench and Chuks Aneke returns to the bench following a short spell on the sidelines with coronavirus.

The Addicks are likely to lineup in a 4-3-3 formation with Deji Oshilaja, Darren Pratley, Akin Famewo and Ben Purrington expected to play in a back four in front of Ben Amos.
Vennings will be joined in midfield by Ben Watson, also make his first league start for the club, and Dylan Levitt, who impressed with his passing in his full league debut last weekend.
Erhun Oztumer and Alfie Doughty will likely play either side of Conor Washington in a front three.
Maddison and Aneke will be joined on the substitutes bench by Ashley Maynard-Brewer, Charlie Barker, George Lapslie, Jonny Williams, Albie Morgan.
