U18S REPORT | Charlton 4 Ipswich Town 1

Charlton's U18s recorded another victory on Monday afternoon, beating Ipswich Town 4-1 at Sparrows Lane.

The Young Addicks opened the scoring through Tyreece Campbell on 12 minutes when he was fed through and lashed a shot across the visitors' goal which nestled in the far corner.

Charlton continued to barrage the Tractor Boys and were soon rewarded for their efforts when some clumsy defending lead to the hosts being awarded a penalty which was then coolly converted by Dylan Gavin.

Ipswich Town battled to get back into the game but were left with little to show for their efforts as the Addicks defended resiliently to preserve their two-goal lead.

The second half looked to be following the script of the first and on 48 minutes, Charlton grabbed their third of the afternoon in style. A well worked corner routine finished beautifully by Kai Garande who leathered a strike into the top corner.

And the Addicks weren't done there, Tyreece Campbell netting his brace on 54 minutes when he capped off a fine fun by slotting low past the Ipswich stopper.

Ipswich did pull one back with quarter of an hour to go but it was too little too late for the visitors. Charlton's U18s go again next week when they take on Bristol City.
