Lee Bowyer has made four changes from the team that beat Portsmouth on Saturday. Akin Famewo misses out with injury, Jonny Williams and Adam Matthews move to the bench and Jake Forster-Caskey has been rested.
Meanwhile, Marcus Maddison returns to the bench after missing the Addicks last game through injury.
It means the Addicks could line up in the 4-diamond-2 used on Saturday, a 4-3-3, a 3-5-2 or maybe the 4-4-2 used at times against Oxford United last Tuesday.
If it is a 4-diamond-2, then Chris Gunter, Innis, Darren Pratley and Purrington may make up the back four in front of Ben Amos. Watson would hold in midfield with Morgan and Ian Maatsen either side of a diamond with Andrew Shinnie behind a front two of Conor Washington and Omar Bogle.
If Bowyer opts for a 4-3-3 then Maatsen and Washington would operate either side of Bogle, while in a 4-4-2, Shinnie and Maatsen may be asked to provide width from midfield. The Charlton Manager may also juggle his defensive options with the opportunity to use Purrington as a centre half and moving Pratley into midfield, with Maatsen playing at left back.
In a 3-5-2 Pratley could play in defence with Innis and Purrington either side of him and Gunter and Maatsen operating as wing backs.
Maddison, Williams and Matthews are joined on the bench by Ashley Maynard-Brewer, Paul Smyth, Dylan Levitt and Saturday’s supersub Chuks Aneke.
