Charlton’s loanees continue to impress at their respective clubs, with George Lapslie and Josh Davison amongst the goals in recent weeks.
Saturday’s action saw the duo both net once again as they continued their hot streaks in front of goal. Lapslie bagged the opener in the 2-1 victory at Forest Green Rovers in League Two, making it his third goal in consecutive matches for the Stags.
The midfielder had previously bagged in the 1-1 draw at Bolton Wanderers, as well as the winner in the FA Cup first-round against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.
Fellow academy graduate Davison, meanwhile, scored his fourth goal in five games for Woking on Saturday as he scored a 90th-minute equaliser to earn his side a point from a 1-1 draw with Yeovil Town.
The previous week, he found the net against Gillingham in the Cards’ 3-2 FA Cup defeat at Priestfield Stadium. He has also scored in a 3-2 defeat at King’s Lynn Town and a 2-1 victory at Aldershot Town, also in the FA Cup.
Elsewhere, Erhun Oztumer made his first league start for Bristol Rovers on Saturday as they fell to a 4-1 defeat at home to Fleetwood Town. He has made six appearances in total for the Pirates since his loan switch in October.
Meanwhile, Charles Clayden started for Dulwich Hamlet in their 3-1 defeat at Havant and Waterlooville last Wednesday. He is set to feature again when Hamlet host Dorking Wanderers on Tuesday evening, with the last game of his current loan spell set to be Saturday’s trip to Hemel Hempstead.
