Andrew Shinnie was set to return to training at Sparrows Lane on Thursday morning.
The midfielder has played 10 league games so far for the Addicks since joining on loan from Luton Town in the summer, with Charlton winning seven of those games and losing just twice.
Speaking at his pre-Bristol Rovers press conference today Lee Bowyer said: “Shinnie is fine. He’s meant to be training today but we can’t train [because of water on the pitches] but he’ll be outside, so he’ll do a jog of some sort in and around the astroturf.
"We’ll see how he is over the next couple of days. Saturday is probably a bit too soon I would say, he’s more likely to be in the squad on Tuesday.”
The Charlton Manager also revealed Marcus Maddison is set to return to training soon after suffering an ankle injury.
He said: “I’ve just spoken to the physio. He might be out a couple more days but we’ll then expect him to be training probably at the start of next week.”
The Addicks remain without long-term absentees Akin Famewo, Ryan Inniss and Alfie Doughty, as well as Ben Watson who sustained an injury earlier this month. On Saturday experienced pair Jason Pearce and Darren Pratley will miss the game through suspension.
