Jonny Williams has joined Cardiff City on a permanent deal for an undisclosed fee.
The Wales international, who was due to be out of contract this summer, arrived at The Valley in January 2019 and went on to play a total of 66 times for the club, scoring twice.
Speaking following the midfielder’s departure, manager Lee Bowyer said: “I’d like to wish Jonny the best, he has an exciting opportunity and it is a good deal for the club, so it works for everyone.
"Jonny has been great to work with and he is a lovely lad. He’s been with us two years and he’s played games, improved and got himself back into the Wales side, which is something he should be proud of.
"He was popular with everyone at the club, so I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say we wish him the best for the future.
Charlton Athletic would like to thank Jonny for his time at the club and wish him all the very best in his future career.
