Charlton Athletic Women are pleased to announce Jess King has signed a professional deal with the club.
The 29-year-old striker scored seven goals in her debut season with the Addicks last campaign and can’t wait to get going again this season.
After signing the contract, King said: “I’m excited! I’m really, really happy to be here and to continue on with the club. A lot has changed and I’m excited for the season to come.”
King becomes the sixth player to sign a professional deal with the club following the announcements of Eartha Cumings, Rachel Newborough, Elisha Sulola, Vyan Sampson and Lois Heuchan.
Manager, Karen Hills, said: “Jess scored some really important goals for us last year and she works incredibly hard on and off the pitch. Her attitude is excellent and she applies herself really well in training, I’m really pleased we have her on board for our first ever professional season.”
Owner, Thomas Sandgaard, said: “I’m very pleased we’ve been able to sign Jess. I managed to get to a few games in-person last season and she definitely stood out as a key player for us, so I’m looking forward to seeing her scoring goals for us this season.”
