2021/22 third kit marking 100 years of League football revealed

Charlton Athletic have unveiled the brand-brand new hummel third shirt for the 2021/22 season, which celebrates the club’s 100th year of League football.

The black and gold strip, modelled by Jayden Stockley and Diallang Jaiyesimi, commemorates the centenary of the Addicks’ election into the Football League in 1921 and features the special inclusion of a simplified version of Charlton’s iconic sword emblem, stitched in gold on the chest.

The sword emblem has not been seen on an Addicks strip in that fashion for 47 years, since it was last in use during the 1973/74 season.

The new black shirts feature gold detailing throughout with hummel’s distinctive chevrons appearing in gold along the sleeves, gold piping on the round collar and gold on the cuffs.

Meanwhile, a contrast tonal bib design on the front chest complements the shirt, while shirt sponsor KW Consulting appears in gold on the front of the shirt, with ITRM featuring in gold on the back.

The black shorts also feature gold detailing, as well as the sword emblem in gold, while charcoal-grey and black socks, complete with gold chevrons and piping complete the strip.

The third kit is available to pre-order online now with delivery expected before August 12th. Adult shirts will be priced £50, with shorts £25 and socks £12. Children's shirts meanwhile will be priced £45, with shorts £20 and socks £12.

There will also be a 'mini' kids' kit available which includes shirt, shorts and socks for £40.
