Early-bird season-ticket holders can claim 15 per cent off merchandise in the club’s Valley Superstore throughout the upcoming discount window.
The discount period was originally set for Friday, September 24th until Sunday, September 26th - which received criticism from supporters.
At last week's Fans' Forum, a supporter representative asked if the period could be extended to allow for those living a long way from the stadium, who weren't able to make the Portsmouth game. Commercial Director, Wayne Mumford, said, in the meeting, that the discounts were intended as a gift to the fans. He said he’s since looked into the details and it was too complicated. He said the message was wrong and the club apologise for that. He said it was done with good intent to say thank you and welcome back supporters. He said it backfired as the club didn’t deliver the message well enough. He said he would look to see if the club shop discount could be extended.
Following the meeting, it has been confirmed that the period has been extended to give as many early-bird season-ticket holders as possible the opportunity to redeem their vouchers.
The window will now run from Friday, September 24th until Wednesday, September 29th, allowing fans to take advantage of their exclusive discount at the Addicks’ upcoming fixtures against Portsmouth and Bolton Wanderers in SE7.
Supporters must present their discount voucher to redeem the discount; a season ticket alone will not be sufficient.
All vouchers can only be redeemed in person in the Valley Superstore.
Please note, the discount is only valid on transactions up to £100 and cash alternatives are not available.
Supporters who are able to use their discount on one of the non-matchdays mentioned are advised to do so.
