Charlton return to SE7 on Tuesday night as Accrington Stanley visit The Valley (7.45pm).
With just one win secured on home soil this campaign, Nigel Adkins’ side will be seeking maximum points against John Coleman’s side.
TEAM NEWS
Long-term absentees Jake Forster-Caskey (ACL) and Ryan Inniss (thigh) remain absent for the Addicks, while Akin Famewo (calf), Harry Arter (hamstring) and Elliot Lee (illness) will be assessed following last weekend’s trip to Lincolnshire.
The visitors are expected to be without quartet Harvey Rodgers, Joe Pritchard, Joe Hardy and Joel Mumbongo.
THE OPPOSITION
Coleman’s men travel to south London on the back of a 1-0 reverse at Cheltenham Town last Saturday, with Kyle Vassell bagging the game’s solitary goal on 79 minutes.
That defeat leaves Stanley sat 11th in the League One table, having accumulated 16 points from 12 games thus far.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
Charlton and Accrington have squared off on six previous occasions with the Addicks winning two, Stanley one and the remaining three meetings concluding in draws.
The last encounter between the two sides came at the Wham Stadium in May in the Addicks’ final away fixture of the 2020/21 campaign. Chuks Aneke’s strike deep into stoppage time salvaged a point for Charlton, cancelling out Joe Pritchard’s opener on 81 minutes.
Stanley’s last visit to The Valley, meanwhile, came in January and saw the visitors prevail 2-0 thanks to a Colby Bishop brace, with the striker notching either side of half-time.
MATCH OFFICIALS
Sam Allison will control proceedings in SE7 on Tuesday. The referee last officiated the Addicks for the trip to Wigan Athletic in March - a 1-0 triumph courtesy of Aneke.
Allison will be assisted by Stuart Butler and Paul Kelly, while Darren Blunden is the Fourth Official.
