Charlton Women are back in FA Women's Championship action on Sunday afternoon (2pm) when they host London City Lionesses at The Oakwood.
Having fallen to a disappointing 3-2 reverse at Crystal Palace last weekend, Karen Hills’ side registered a 3-1 triumph against Coventry United in the Continental Cup in midweek to quell a five-match winless run in all competitions.
The visitors, meanwhile, travel to Crayford on the back of a Continental Cup scalp against Women’s Super League outfit Brighton & Hove Albion, with the Lionesses prevailing in a narrow 1-0 victory.
A win this Sunday could see Charlton rise as high as fourth - depending on other results - while maximum points for Melissa Phillips’ side could see them leapfrog Liverpool to top the table for the first time this season.
The sides last squared off in March, playing out a goalless stalemate at Princes Park in the FA Women’s Championship.
There will be two familiar faces returning to The Oakwood this Sunday, with former Addicks Harley Bennett and Lily Agg both now plying their trade for the Lionesses.
Supporters can follow all the build-up to Sunday’s game on Charlton Women’s official Instagram, Twitter and Facebook accounts. The game will be streamed live on CharltonTV and YouTube.
