The yellow card shown to Akin Famewo during last weekend’s triumph at Burton Albion has been reattributed following a successful appeal, meaning the defender is available for this afternoon’s Sky Bet League One clash against Plymouth Argyle at The Valley.
Famewo was shown his fifth caution of the campaign by referee Trevor Kettle in first-half stoppage time at the Pirelli Stadium for time wasting, though, on grounds of mistaken identity, the yellow card has now been attributed to Ben Purrington.
Both Famewo and Purrington are now on four yellow cards, with the threshold increasing to 10 following Tuesday night’s trip to Morecambe.
The club’s appeal against Jayden Stockley’s dismissal, meanwhile, was unsuccessful, with the striker now serving a three-match suspension.
