PAPA JOHN’S TROPHY PREVIEW | Charlton v Aston Villa U21s

Charlton return to Papa John’s Trophy action on Tuesday evening (7pm) when they host Aston Villa U21s at The Valley in the round of 32.

The Addicks secured their passage through to the knockout stages after finishing second in Southern Group G, with routine triumphs against Crawley Town and Southampton U21s followed by a narrow reverse at Leyton Orient.

TEAM NEWS

Jayden Stockley is eligible once again having served his three-match suspension following his dismissal at Burton Albion two weekends ago.

Long-term absentees Sam Lavelle (groin), Ryan Inniss (quad) and Jake Forster-Caskey (ACL) remain sidelined, while Adam Matthews (calf) and club captain Jason Pearce (knee) will also miss out.
