Adam Matthews and Ryan Inniss both start this evening’s Papa John’s Trophy tie against MK Dons at The Valley (7pm) as Johnnie Jackson makes 11 changes.
The Wales international makes his first appearance since late October following a calf injury, while Inniss will enjoy a first start in over four months having recently returned from a quad injury.
Elsewhere, Corey Blackett-Taylor also returns to the starting XI for the first time in five weeks following a hamstring niggle.
Nathan Harness starts in goal, with the returning Matthews and Inniss accompanied by Chris Gunter in Jackson’s back-three.
Blackett-Taylor and Pape Souaré are expected to occupy wing-back roles with Aaron Henry, captain Ben Watson and Charlie Kirk manning the midfield, behind a front two of Jonathan Leko and Mason Burstow.
Meanwhile, the Addicks’ bench consists of Nathan Harvey, Deji Elerewe, Lucas Ness, Ben Dempsey, Josh Davison, Dylan Gavin and Euan Williams.
