Attending Saturday afternoon’s Sky Bet League One fixture against AFC Wimbledon at The Valley? Here are seven things to look out for…
As always, supporters are encouraged to arrive at the ground early - with activities aplenty ahead of kick-off (3pm).
Football v Homophobia weekend
The weekend, run in conjunction with the club’s LGBTQI+ supporters’ group, the Proud Valiants, aims to promote equality and tackle discrimination in football.
A pitchside presentation celebrating the club’s award-winning Football v Homophobia work will take place prior to kick-off, whilst the official matchday programme, Valley Review, and CharltonTV - which can be watched on all concourse televisions - will also be covering this weekend’s theme.
Get your Charlton wear in the club shop
Valley Superstore will be open from 10am until kick-off, giving supporters the opportunity to take advantage of up to 40% off selected styles - including matchday kits, training kit, apparel, gifts and accessories.
The club shop will then open for a further 30 minutes after the full-time whistle.
Visit the free Fans' Bar
The Fans’ Bar will be opening its doors from 12pm and will be showing Kidderminster Harriers v West Ham United (12.30pm) and England's Six Nations opener against Scoland (4.45pm), as well as CharltonTV’s pre-game show from 2.15pm and the CharltonTV post-game show with former Addicks midfielder Paul Mortimer starring alongside Alan Curbishley and host Scott Minto in the CharltonTV studio, presented by DNEL Ltd.
The guest ale for Saturday's game is Deuchars IPA, while the Fans' Bar food offer is as follows:
- Thai green chicken curry and steamed coriander rice
- Thai red vegetable curry and steamed coriander rice
- Slow braised pulled beef brisket, sticky BBQ sauce, Asian slaw, brioche bap and skinny fries
Meet Floyd and Harvey
Fans can meet the Addicks’ popular mascots, Floyd and Harvey, in and around The Valley ahead of the game - with a timeline of the duo’s whereabouts available below.
Supporters who pose for photos with the pair can be in with a chance of winning Charlton prizes if they post their photo on social media using #cafc.
Enjoy our Family Activity Zone
The indoor Family Activity Zone will have Football v Homophobia-themed worksheets and a face painting activity, while supporters can enjoy a panna cage and inflatables at the outdoor Family Activity Zone.
Visit the Upbeats Kitchen
Located in the Covered End lower concourse, the Upbeats Kitchen will be serving onion bhaji burgers and pints of Foster's to supporters.
Mortimer at half-time
CharltonTV studio guest Paul Mortimer, who is the Proud Valiants’ patron, will go pitchside during the interval for an interview with CharltonTV’s Charlotte Richardson.
A firm fans’ favourite, Mortimer represented Charlton across two spells in the 1980s and 1990s, scoring a number of spectacular goals during his 225 appearances for the club.
