Albie Morgan signed with the club's esteemed academy at the age of nine, 13 years later he has progressed through the youth ranks and amassed 93 games for the first team.
The 22-year-old's excitement about playing for the Addicks hasn’t diminished.
He said: “The feeling never changes. I still appreciate being a Charlton player so much from when I was a kid to now.
“Stepping out onto The Valley of course is amazing every week. Every opportunity I get I try to grab and hopefully I can keep making appearances, playing games, and enjoying my football."
Morgan is very appreciative of the grounding he has received in the club's academy: “I've learned a lot, to enjoy your football, work hard, and you get rewards.
"I think if you work hard and keep your head down and focus you will get your chance and there’s a pathway here. If you get your opportunity, grab it, and play and there’s a chance.”
The midfielder reflected on his time with Charlton: “I’ve grown up a lot, I’ve met a lot of people. I’ve grown up as a player and as a person, so it’s been good.
“This is all I know, I’ve been here for 13 years, so it’s been a long journey but also a good one.”
