Saturday’s fixture against Sunderland at The Valley marks the club’s annual Women’s Day - with a host of pre-match activities taking place as part of the themed matchday ahead of International Women's Day next week.
Addicks goalkeeper Sophie Hillyerd will be at the forefront of the afternoon’s activities, while girls from the club’s Regional Talent Group will be in attendance at The Valley to cheer on Johnnie Jackson’s Addicks.
Hillyerd will be visiting the Family Activity Zone, located behind Valley Superstore, from 1.35pm for a meet and greet session, providing supporters with photo and autograph opportunities.
The 18-year-old will star in the CharltonTV Lounge from 2pm before heading pitchside for an interview with CharltonTV’s Charlotte Richardson ahead of kick-off.
The activity forms part of the EFL's campaign celebrating female supporters this weekend.
In partnership with the Royal Borough of Greenwich and EFL, Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) will be hosting a virtual panel event on International Women’s Day.
The panel event, titled 'An important conversation discussing Women and Equality: Let’s #breakthebias together’, will be held via Zoom on Tuesday, March 8th from 3.30-4.30pm.
