Captain Jason Pearce and Akin Famewo return to the Charlton defence for today’s game against Rotherham United as part of five changes from the team that drew with AFC Wimbledon on Tuesday.
Corey Blackett-Taylor also returns to the side, replacing Diallang Jaiyesimi, while Albie Morgan and Alex Gilbey join George Dobson in central midfield in place of Jake Forster-Caskey and Elliot Lee.
Famewo and Pearce take the places of Sam Lavelle, who picked up a season-ending injury in Tuesday’s game, and Ben Purrington, who is named amongst the substitutes.
The Addicks are expected to line-up in a 3-5-2 formation with Craig MacGillivray in goal behind a back three of Sean Clare, Pearce and Famewo.
Adam Matthews will play at right wing back, with Blackett-Taylor on the left, either side of the aforementioned midfield trio.
Jayden Stockley, who has scored three goals in his last three league games, and Conor Washington once again start up front together.
Nathan Harness, Nile John, Jonathan Leko and Mason Burstow join Purrington, Jaiyesimi and Forster-Caskey on the bench.
Lee and Scott Fraser both miss the game having picked up knocks, while Ryan Inniss is suspended after being sent off on Tuesday.
