Charlton Athletic Women are happy to confirm eight themed women's first-team matchdays for the 2024/25 season.
Theming the matchdays gives the club and their partners the opportunity to promote causes that mean a lot to Charlton and engage with supporters.
These matchdays are led by the club, its award-winning Community Trust, and club partners University of Greenwich and RSK.
The first themed matchday, the University of Greenwich Day, will take place on Sunday, October 6th, for the game against Sunderland.
Following that is the Red, White, and Black Day on Sunday, November 3rd, coinciding with the men’s game the day before. This day is focused on tackling discrimination, a cause very important to the club.
For the closest home fixture to Remembrance Day, November 17th, the club will honor those who lost their lives in the First World War at our game against Bristol City.
In the new year, the women’s home game against Sheffield United on Sunday, January 25th, will be the Young Greenwich Day, followed by Football vs Homophobia on Sunday, February 2nd.
The two home fixtures in March will be the Her Game Too-themed matchday on Sunday, March 3rd, against London City Lionesses, and the Greener Game matchday on Sunday, March 24th, against Birmingham City.
The final home game of the season against Newcastle United on Sunday, April 21st, will also be our final themed matchday, Schools Partnership Day.
