Player Biography

Kayleigh Barton finished her debut season with the Addicks as the club’s leading goalscorer, with nine goals to her name in all competitions.

The experienced forward joined Charlton in the summer of 2023 following her departure from Women’s Super League club Brighton & Hove Albion, for who she made 110 appearances for over a five-year stint, becoming the Seagulls’ all- time WSL appearance maker.

Barton developed a habit of scoring in vital moments for the Addicks, including a 100th- minute equaliser against Durham in October,
a stoppage–time winner against Lewes in November, and the only goal in the victory over Sunderland on the season’s penultimate day to keep Charlton’s hopes of winning promotion alive.

The 36-year-old, who made her international debut in 2012, was also prolific for her country in the first half of 2024, scoring on four occasions for Wales to take her international goal tally to 20 across 80 caps.

Both her goal-scoring and her experience make her a vital part of Karen Hills’ youthful Charlton side.
