Having made a positive impression during her debut season in Charlton colours, forward Karin Muya extended her stay at The Valley by signing a new one-year contract ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.

The 29-year-old, who joined the Addicks following a successful two-season spell at London City Lionesses, played 17 times during the 2023/24 season and scored on three occasions.

A dynamic forward, her pace, technical skill, and goal-scoring ability make her a constant threat for opposition defences.

Ability that was first spotted by Chelsea, for who she won the FA Girls’ Youth Trophy at U17 level before graduating into the first team and making her professional debut at the age of 18.

Since then, her footballing journey has taken her to the USA’s college system, and to Italy’s Serie A, before she returned to England to join the London City Lionesses in 2021, for who she scored a brace against Charlton in April 2022.
