Kayne Ramsay joined Charlton in January 2024, arriving from Harrogate Town for an undisclosed fee.

Born in Hackney, Ramsay began his career with Chelsea’s academy before joining Southampton in 2017.

After impressing for Saints’ youth teams, the right-back was rewarded with a professional contract in September 2018 and made his senior debut against Manchester City just three months later. In doing so, he became the youngest Premier League starter during the 2018/19 season at 18 years and 81 days.

Ramsay gained League One experience on loan at Shrewsbury Town and Crewe Alexandra during the following two campaigns and spent the second half of the 2021/22 season on loan with Scottish Premiership side Ross County.

The defender secured a permanent switch to Harrogate in the summer of 2022. He would go on to make 61 appearances for the Sulphurites.
