Josh Edwards arrived at Charlton in June 2024, joining from Scottish side Dunfermline Athletic for an undisclosed fee.

The talented defender, who was named in the 2023/24 Scottish Championship Team of the Year after an impressive campaign which saw him score four goals and contribute nine assists in 42 appearances, signed a four-year contract with the Addicks.

Edwards began his professional career with Airdrieonians, where he made 34 Scottish League One appearances between 2017 and 2019.

His performances attracted the interest of Scottish Championship side Dunfermline, who he joined in July 2019. He featured 182 times for Dunfermline and helped them return to the Scottish Championship at the first time of asking in 2022/23 when the Pars lifted the Scottish League One title. 

The defender was also named in the Scottish League One Team of the Year that season, meaning he moves to Charlton having been named in back-to-back Team of the Years.
