Alex Mitchell joined Charlton in June 2024, putting pen-to-paper on a three-year contract with the club.

The powerful centre-back began his career at Millwall, where he was voted Academy Schoolboy of the Year after immediately catching the eye in his first season with the Lions. 

He enjoyed an impressive spell on loan at Bromley in 2021 before joining Leyton Orient for the 2021/22 campaign. 

Another successful loan followed in 2022/23 at Scottish Premiership side St Johnstone, where he was named the Saints Young Player of the Year.

His performances attracted the interest of Lincoln City, who signed him on loan for the 2023/24 season. He played a vital role in a defence that conceded just 40 goals, with only promoted Derby County conceding less.
