Ellie Brazil signed a one-year contract with Charlton in the summer, following her departure from Women’s Super League side Tottenham Hotspur.
The energetic and pacey forward, who won a gold medal in the 800 meters at the 2015 English Schools’ Athletics Championships before focusing her attention on football, arrives in SE7 with a wealth of domestic and youth international experience.
Brazil, who made her Women’s Super League debut for Birmingham City aged 16, has made over 70 career appearances in England’s top- flight, in addition to a further 17 made in Serie A while representing Fiorentina.
The 25-year-old’s mentality is also incredibly strong, with the forward having overcome two ACL injuries during her career.
The second of which limited her game time at Spurs, who she moved to in 2022 having impressed during a four-season stint at Brighton & Hove Albion.
During her time with the Seagulls, she developed into a well-rounded attacker, known for her speed, work rate, and ability to play across the front line.
Back to full health, Brazil will be looking to emulate her success on the south coast in SE7.
Brazil also has a wealth of experience at youth international level, having represented England at the U17 European Championship and World Cup, and the U19 European Championship.
