Jodie Hutton joined the Addicks in the summer of 2024 as part of Karen Hills’ efforts to build a promotion-winning squad.

The 23-year-old, equally comfortable playing at left-back or further forward down the left, signed a one-year deal in SE7 after departing Sheffield United.

She arrives on the back of playing 17 times for the Blades last season across all competitions, scoring twice, and boasting a wealth of experience at Women’s Super League and Women’s Championship level.

Hutton, an Aston Villa academy graduate,
has experienced promotion twice from the second tier. First with Villa in 2020, for who she represented 91 times in all competitions and 21 times in the WSL, then repeated the feat during a one-season stay at Bristol City in 2023.

Her versatility, with defensive strength complemented by rapid pace and an attacking threat, made her a valuable asset in those promotion-winning campaigns, and she’ll be looking to emulate that success in SE7 during the coming season.
