Katie Bradley became Karen Hills’ first signing of the 2024 summer transfer window, signing a two-year deal following her departure from fellow Women’s Championship side Blackburn Rovers.
The midfielder spent the second half of last season with Rovers, returning to English football having spent the previous three years playing in the USA college system for UFC Knights. Bradley featured six times for the Lancashire club, impressing Blackburn’s General Manager Ellis Clark with her attitude as much as her footballing ability.
Prior to moving to the USA, the 22-year-old graduated from Manchester City’s academy, for who she won the Women’s FA Youth Cup in 2018.
While playing for the Florida-based UFC Knights, she developed a reputation as a dead- ball specialist, scoring directly from free-kicks twice in a single season.
She also has youth international experience, having represented England at the Women’s U19 European Championship.
The Bolton-born midfielder joins the Addicks not only to develop her game but also play under Hills, whose experience and personality she believes will be a good match for herself to thrive under.
