Player Biography

Dan Potts joined Charlton in September 2024, arriving on a short-term deal until early January 2025.

Born in Barking, Potts began his career at West Ham United where he progressed through the academy ranks before being named Young Hammer of the Year in 2011/12.

Following loan spells at Colchester United and Portsmouth, the versatile left-side defender joined Luton in the summer of 2015 and would go on to feature 216 times as the Hatters climbed from Sky Bet League Two to the Premier League, with Potts converting what proved to be the winning spot-kick in the Sky Bet Championship play-off final.

The former England youth international now reunites with Nathan Jones, who he made 165 appearances under at Luton Town, having featured for the Addicks during pre-season.
