Biography

Danny Hylton joined Charlton as a player-coach on a short-term deal in September 2024.

The vastly-experienced striker, who has tasted three EFL promotions, featured for the Addicks during pre-season, scoring in the 6-1 win at Dartford.

Hylton now reunites with Nathan Jones, who he made 158 appearances under at Luton Town.

The forward started his career at Aldershot Town before enjoying permanent spells at Rotherham United and Oxford United, where he earned promotion from Sky Bet League Two. 

After signing for Luton, he scored 58 goals during his first three campaigns under Jones’ guidance as the Hatters earned back-to-back promotions. 

Having helped Luton establish themselves back in the Championship, Hylton ended his outstanding six-year spell with the club in June 2022 to join Northampton Town, where he spent two seasons.
