Chris Solly returned to Charlton as a Professional Development Coach in July 2024.

The former defender, who joined the academy as a player more than 20 years ago and played 313 games for the club's first-team, assists U21s Lead Coach Chris Lock in his role. 

A former Charlton captain, Solly was part of two promotions with the Addicks and won back-to-back Player of the Year awards in 2011/12 and 2012/13 and one Young Player of the Year award in 2011/12.
