Head of Coaching Rhys Williams joined Charlton in 2006.

Williams fills a vital role in the academy set-up as Head of Coaching, overseeing all of the activity out on the grass at Sparrows Lane, while also educating and informing up and coming academy prospects.

Previously working as Lead Foundation Coach and Lead Youth Development Phase Coach, Williams was promoted to Head of Coaching back in May 2021.

Alongside his full-time role at the club, Williams has carried out a three-year course at the University of Portsmouth, where he received a Postgraduate Diploma in Elite Coaching Development, furthering his qualifications in the world of coaching.
