Last Saturday’s game was Charlton Athletic’s Greener Game, an annual fixture where the Addicks join forces with club partners and supporters to encourage players, staff and fans to make more environmentally-friendly decisions.
On the day supporters were encouraged to think about how they travel to the game with the men’s first team players and staff all travelling by hybrid coach provided by University of Greenwich.
Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) hosted a ‘Stroll to the Stadium’ event with over 70 fans taking part. The walk had four pick-up points for walkers to join from Eltham to The Valley.
At The Valley there was a Christmas Market with University of Greenwich, CACT’s Live Well team and Trainsplit amongst the stallholders offering a range of festive gifts and advice on how to be more environmentally sustainable.
At half-time young people from MyLondon youth summit were presented with an award by Pledgeball Founder Katie Cross.
This event is part of our All Together, All Different, All Charlton project, supported by the Premier League Charitable Fund #PLFund.
