Player Development Centres

Player Development Centre

Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) offers U9-U16 players with club experience an opportunity to train each week at CACT's focused development centres each week.

All players attending the centre will be coached by UEFA/FA licensed coaches over a 10-week programme, working to a specialised Charlton Athletic Academy-designed curriculum, focusing on enhancing technical, tactical, physical and social abilities in players who are looking to improve their 7, 9 and 11 a-side performance and gameplay ability.

CACT will also accommodate goalkeepers by providing bespoke sessions to improve keepers' technical and game-related skills.

Attending one of the development centres is natural progression from our Charlton Challenge programme. Players that attend and showcase their talent could be asked to attend the Valley Gold Advanced Centre which supports the Charlton Athletic Academy.

The onward progression following your journey with the CAFC Training Ground development centre – is to be offered a place on our Post 16 football and education programme. A full time fully funded programme with excellent pathways and opportunities. Click here to find out more.
