Opening day
Charlton get their 2022/23 campaign under way at Accrington Stanley's Wham Stadium on Saturday, July 30th.
First home game
The matchday buzz returns to The Valley on Saturday, August 6th as Derby County visit SE7 in what will be Ben Garner's first competitive home fixture as Addicks boss.
First league meetings with Forest Green
The first ever league meeting between Charlton and Forest Green Rovers take places at The Valley on Tuesday, September 13th, while the Addicks make their maiden competitive trip to The New Lawn on Tuesday, February 14th.
Back to The Valley celebrations
The club will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of its iconic return to The Valley throughout the 2022/23 campaign - with a series of special events set to take place.
As Cheltenham Town's visit to SE7 on Saturday, December 3rd is the closest home fixture to the 30-year anniversary, there will be a number of commemorative events and activities taking place to recognise the historic occasion.
Plans will be communicated once confirmed, with supporters encouraged to stay tuned on cafc.co.uk over the coming months.
Festive football
Boxing Day football returns to SE7 for the first time in two years as Peterborough United visit The Valley. The Addicks then head to the Kassam Stadium to face Oxford United on Thursday, December 29th, while a trip to Portsmouth awaits Garner's men on New Year's Day.
Easter period
Charlton travel to the Memorial Stadium on Good Friday to take on Bristol Rovers, before welcoming Burton Albion to the capital on Easter Monday.
Last home game
Newly-promoted Port Vale visit The Valley on Saturday, April 29th for the Addicks' final home game of the 2022/23 campaign.
Final day
Following 11 months of league action, Garner's side bring down the curtain on the 2022/23 season with a trip to Cheltenham Town's Jonny-Rocks Stadium on Saturday, May 6th.
Cup competitions:
Carabao Cup
Thursday afternoon's regionalised draw pitted the Addicks against Queens Park Rangers in the first round of the Carabao Cup.
The first-round tie will kick off at The Valley on the week commencing August 9th. Full details regarding the match will be announced once confirmed.
Papa John's Trophy
Meanwhile, the Papa John's Trophy draw saw Brighton & Hove Albion's U21s join Charlton, Colchester United and Gillingham in South Group A.
Opening round ties are set to take place on the week commencing 29 August. Full information on each of the cup ties will be communicated once confirmed.
Emirates FA Cup
The Addicks will enter the FA Cup at the First Round Proper stage on Saturday, November 5th.
