Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) are pleased to confirm that the 2025 Upbeats Walk has raised more than £41,000 for the much-loved Down’s syndrome programme.
More than 200 walkers joined the nine-mile trek from the club’s Sparrows Lane training ground in New Eltham to The Valley on Saturday, April 5th, celebrating the 10-year anniversary of the popular fundraising event.
The Upbeats programme is entirely funded by donations and relies on the funds raised by the Upbeats Walk event to offer new and exciting opportunities for its members.
Addicks legends Scott Minto, Paul Mortimer, Bob Bolder, Colin Walsh, John Humphrey and Kim Dixson all led the way in joining supporters on the walk, before crossing the finishing line pitchside at The Valley, before the Upbeats took the pitch to take on Lincoln City’s Down’s syndrome team.
CACT would like to thank Lincoln City Foundation for their support and involvement on the day.
Thanks also go to Charlton Lido and Lifestyle Club who once again hosted our walkers and acted as the halfway point for some snacks and refreshments.
CACT would like to thank Candid Creative for offering their support by providing the finishing line structure to greet walkers at the end of their efforts.
And the biggest thank you goes to all those supporters who took part in the walk and who have donated to the cause.
There’s still time to donate if you haven’t done so already to help support our Upbeats!
