Charlton Athletic Women injury update

Squad

This season Charlton Athletic Women have faced several challenges through injuries to key players. As we head into the final two games of the season, here is an update on the current injuries in the squad.

Beth Roe, who suffered an MCL injury, returned to the matchday squad on Sunday against Sunderland after progressing really well through her recovery.

Sophie O'Rourke has been recovering from concussion over the past couple of months. She also returned to the squad on Sunday alongside Roe.

Emma Bissell has suffered a low-grade stress fracture to her foot. She faces a brief spell on the sidelines but is likely to return before the end of the season.

Charlotte Newsham came off injured against Bristol City on 16th March after suffering an injury to her hamstring. While this will sideline her for a few weeks, Newsham will hopefully be playing again before the season comes to a close.

Carla Humphrey has been dealing with a setback from her injury after sickness and is expected to return next season.

Finally, Mia Ross has been recovering very well from her ACL injury back in September. She is on track to start training in August.

Despite these challenges, the squad remains focused and determined as they approach the final two games of the season.
