13-year-old Ethan wrote a short blog after attending Charlton's 3-0 win against Exeter City at The Valley in February...
In February, Charlton welcomed a few families to The Valley for the game against Exeter.
At first, everyone met at a BBQ Gathering which was a great social occasion and interaction. After the barbeque, we walked down to The Valley, passing by a variety of different fan groups and getting some exercise. After a short venture, our group scanned the tickets and entered the Alan Curbishley Stand.
90 minutes quickly passed and everybody was enjoying the game. A young watcher from the group stated: “It [The atmosphere] was loud and it passed quickly”.
This was most of the families’ first time attending a football match and they are keen on returning. Everybody had a lovely day out which was given the icing on the cake by a dominant display of football and small goodie bags for the group. Everybody showed great compassion a cheers for the Addicks performance.
