Exciting prospect Ibrahim Fullah has signed his first professional contract with the club.
The 17-year-old attacking midfielder, who celebrated his birthday earlier this month, has caught the eye during his maiden season as a first-year scholar, scoring 10 goals and registering eight assists in 29 starts for the Addicks’ U18s and U21s.
Fullah, who joins fellow U18s prospect Micah Mbick in penning a professional deal with the Addicks this term, said: “Honestly it was a great birthday present! Signing this professional contract is a really great feeling.
“It's been a great journey from U10s all the way up until now with a lot of highs and lows. Having coaches that believe in me has given me the confidence to just go out on the pitch and enjoy myself. I feel like that's something Charlton stands out for."
Academy Director Steve Avory commented: "I'm delighted that Ibrahim has committed his immediate future to the club. He's a player of high potential and has been rewarded with a professional contract.
"He has a wow factor about him - he’s a good technical player, good one-v-one and a scorer of some exceptional goals.
"He developed through our partnership with the Harris Academy, like Ezri Konsa and Karlan Grant, where he benefited from increased time with coaches. He’s fully deserving of the professional contract and I’m looking forward to watching him develop further."
Technical Director Andy Scott added: “We’re delighted that Ibrahim has decided to sign a professional contract and trust us with the development of his career.
"He's a talented player who we believe is capable of following in the footsteps of all the recent academy graduates in making an impact in the men’s first-team squad over the next few seasons."
