Charlton’s U18s fought back from 3-0 down to draw with Ipswich Town on Tuesday afternoon.
The Tractor Boys raced into a three-goal lead within the opening 29 minutes through Revin Domi and Jamie Mauge, who bagged a quickfire brace.
The in-form Micah Mbick pulled a goal back for the young Addicks on 34 minutes, converting from close range following outstanding work from Manu Wales.
Mikey Berry doubled Charlton’s tally moments later when he intercepted a loose pass from Alan Fleischer and lobbed the goalkeeper from 25 yards.
Mbick netted his second and the young Addicks’ third just eight minutes after the restart, sending a stunning free-kick into the top-left corner from just outside the the 18-yard box which ultimately salvaged a point for his side.
The spirited showing extends Jason Pearce’s side’s unbeaten run to six games ahead of Saturday’s trip to Coventry City.
