Lloyd Jones has been nominated for Sky Bet League One's Player of the Month award for August.
Jones has been recognised by the division after making his mark at both ends of the pitch during the first month of the season.
Operating at the heart of Nathan Jones’ back three, the centre-back played a vital role in helping Charlton start the campaign with three clean sheets in as many games and he also scored a late winner at Wigan Athletic on the opening day.
Jones faces competition from Stockport County’s Louie Barry, Birmingham City’s Alfie May and Barnsley’s Adam Phillips for August’s accolade, with the winner announced on Friday, September 13th.
The judging panel comprises Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman, EFL Chief Executive Trevor Birch and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies.
