Nathan Jones is anticipating another stern challenge on Saturday when the Addicks face Exeter City at St James Park.
The Grecians currently sit 11th in the Sky Bet League One table, level on points with Charlton.
“We're expecting another League One test against a well-coached team," Jones explained. "They're a dangerous side and it’s always a tough place to go to.
"They're a really good club with good pedigree, a clear way of doing things and a club that I've enjoyed coming up against.
"It will be a very tough test, like the one that we had down there last season when we could have nicked it in injury time."
Asked for an update on the injury front, the gaffer said: “We've not made a big thing about injuries, but they're considerable in what we've done. There aren't many teams in this league that could cope with what we're coping with.
"I'm still demanding from this group of players even though we have a lot of big players out. People have had to step up and I'm very proud of them.
“Gassan [Ahadme] has obviously had another week, but other than that we are in no better situation in terms of selection.”
The Addicks will be backed by over 1,000 travelling supporters in Devon, with less than 150 tickets remaining.
“It’s not a bad place for our fans to visit," said Jones. "If they want any tourist information, I know the area very well having played at Yeovil and lived 40/50 minutes from there! It's a wonderful part of the world with a lovely cathedral. Our fans will enjoy the pre-match and hopefully we can give them something else to enjoy as well.”
