Jones: 'We've been very good at home'

Nathan Jones has hailed his side's home form ahead of Saturday's meeting with Exeter City at The Valley.

The Addicks have won six of their seven Sky Bet League One fixtures in SE7.

"We’re expecting another League One game that will be very difficult," explained the boss. "We were nowhere near our levels when we played them down there. That's something we need to concentrate on - we've had a few results this season where we've not been ourselves or not done ourselves justice, and that was one of them. We want to put that right, but we're not looking backwards, we're looking forwards.

"We need to make sure that we are us again, and if we're us and we're at it then that's all I can concentrate on. We're looking forward to the game. We've been very good at home and we want that to continue."

Jones provided an update on Ashley Maynard-Brewer, who was forced off at half-time during last weekend's fixture against league leaders Birmingham City.

"Ashley has got a groin injury, so he will be out," Jones revealed. "For how long, we don't really know yet. We've kind of got an idea but there's no point speculating - we've just got to wait for a few things to settle down and then we can have a better understanding of it.

"The rest of the square are all good. We had a few of them play on Tuesday in the U21s, people who needed minutes - [Alex] Mitchell, Tom [McIntyre], Tennai [Watson] and DK [Daniel Kanu]. They all played so it was good for them to get minutes and to get a little bit more up to speed because we're going to need everyone."
