Charlton's U21s return to action this Friday when they host Colchester United at Sparrows Lane (KO 1pm GMT).
The young Addicks, led by Chris Solly due to Chris Lock being away on international duty with England, tasted derby day triumph at Princes Park on Tuesday as Ryan Huke netted the all-important winner against Millwall.
That result ensured the U21s retained their spot at the top of the Professional Development League Two - South table ahead of Friday's fixture.
The visitors, who currently sit bottom of the table, will look to bounce back from successive 3-0 defeats against Watford and Bristol City.
