Karen Hills was delighted with her side's resilience as Charlton Athletic won away from home against Sheffield United.
Another goal from Ellie Brazil secured all three points for the Addicks as she now has three goals in two matches for Charlton Athletic so far, since signing from Tottenham Hotspur. The goal came about after Carla Humphrey sent Brazil through on goal. The forward kept her composure and slotted the ball into the bottom-right corner.
Speaking post-game, Karen Hills stated: "I thought credit to Sheffield, they've obviously watched us and they worked out that if they popped the ball around, we would obviously press them and they find some really nice patterns. It caused us a few problems, but we addressed it and when we saw it, but yeah I thought the first half was quite even. We didn't move it with the quality that we know we have."
Hills was more pleased with the second half: “I thought second half, I don't think they had a shot in the second half and to be fair we probably could have scored a couple more.”
The manager was very positive about her players post-match: “To get the win up here, it's massive credit to the girls. Two wins out of two, two clean sheets, and four goals. What more could I ask for!”
The victory leaves Charlton Athletic sitting in second place levels on points with Durham Women.
