Charlton Athletic are thrilled to announce that Kiera Skeels has signed a new one-year contract with the club!
The 22-year-old defender has been a key part of the team since Charlton turned professional in 2021, demonstrating unwavering commitment and skill on the pitch.
"It's a great feeling," Skeels shared. "I've been here for three years now and I've loved every second of it. I'm grateful for the opportunities I've had and I'm hopeful to build on them next season."
Reflecting on last season, Skeels expressed her determination: "We were all gutted to fall just short of our promotion goal, but I believe we have a squad capable of competing consistently. This season will be no different."
Skeels also highlighted the importance of being able to play their games at The Valley: "It's amazing to know that The Valley is now our home. Thanks to the club for letting us play here. It changes the way we play football, allowing us to utilise better possession tactics, which plays to our strengths."
Looking ahead, she added, "Last season showed that we can compete at the top of our league. I'm excited to show what we can do and hopefully push for promotion again."
