The L&Q One Goal programme, delivered by Charlton Athletic Community (CACT) and 9 other football clubs across London, has been shortlisted for the Creating Places Award at L&Q’s awards ceremony in November.
The accolade recognises the efforts of residents and community groups who have made positive contributions to their communities. CACT were specifically chosen for ‘going the extra mile’ to make a difference in the local area.
Sean Daly, head of football and sports development at CACT said, “It’s great to be shortlisted and recognised for the positive work that the One Goal programme is having in communities across London. Now in its second year, One Goal is proving more popular than ever offering a free, fun holiday experience for youth each holiday period”.
The awards ceremony takes place on November 10th.
