Addicks fullback, Sophie O'Rourke reflects on Charlton's victory over Durham last weekend, as well as offering her thoughts ahead of this Sunday's trip to Ashton Gate.
O'Rourke who has featured in Karen Hills' side 18 times this season was proud of the team's performance and for 'bouncing back' after the Addicks recorded a 2-0 win over Durham at The Valley last weekend:
"It felt good, after a loss you always look to bounce back and put things right and I felt we did that, especially in the second half."
Karen Hills' side will head west this Sunday to take on current table toppers Bristol City in the penultimate game of the season.
Charlton currently sit fourth in the Barclays Women's Championship standings two points off third-placed London City Lionesses, the 23-year-old shared how she is relishing the opportunity to take on Bristol City at Ashton Gate:
"We’re aware it’ll be a tough game as they’ll be looking to secure promotion, but we’re there to spoil the party."
This Sunday will be the Addicks' final trip on the road of the 2022/23 campaign, O'Rourke along with her teammates, have their sights firmly set on finishing the season on a high:
"I think overall it’s been a successful season, we’ve spoken about how we’ve beaten the number of points from previous seasons but with still two games to go we want six points and to finish as high up the table as we can."
