Ramsay and Godden meet East Kent Addicks

First-team duo Kayne Ramsay and Matty Godden recently took part in an exclusive Q&A session with the East Kent Addicks at the Ashford Railway Club.

Peter Young, Chair of the East Kent Addicks, said: “Tracey Leaburn organised for both Kayne and Matty to come down and it was a very good evening. The players were very professional and a real credit to the football club.

“They answered all the questions as honestly and professionally as they could. Everyone was really happy with how it went.”

The East Kent Addicks have over 220 official members, ranging from Canterbury, Ashford, Folkestone and Hythe.

“These events are very important, as we live in Ashford, Kent, and sometimes we feel a bit shut off," Peter explained. "Everyone has always been happy with the meetings that we have held and the players that have been brought down in the past. It’s a credit to the players, we really appreciate their time.

“You get to see a different side of the players. They tell you things about training, which you wouldn’t normally hear, and it's all very interesting.”

Peter also stressed the importance of the club’s Valley Express service, which offers supporters reliable transport to and from SE7 from dozens of pick-up points across Kent and Sussex.

“Most of our members use it," he said. "It's a vital service for people. The coaches are a must.”

“Come along and join us - it’s fun!" Peter added. "We hold a Christmas dinner every year and pre-Covid we held end-of-season dinners, which is something we're looking to start up again next year.”
