Red Saturday: Find support for your mental and physical wellbeing with CACT

-

Ahead of Red Saturday at The Valley for the Addicks’ clash with Shrewsbury Town, Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) can offer a number of programmes, initatives and sessions which can help to support the mental and physical wellbeing of supporters.

The club have teamed up with RED January, the nationwide movement that harnesses the power of physical activity and community to support mental health.

The partnership will culminate in Red Saturday on Saturday, January 25th, for a special matchday designed to inspire fans and locals to get active, connect, and boost their wellbeing.

Improving health is a key part part of CACT’s mission to empower communities and changes lives.

Below are just some of the ways members of our community can benefit to improve their physical and mental health:

The CACT Extra Time Hub is a chance for retired and semi-retired people over the age of 55 to get together once a week to take part in a wide variety of activities for health and exercise, from dance classes, to singing, to curling.

Studies show 42% of those over the age of 55 are inactive and would like opportunities to meet peers to feel less isolated, live well and do things they enjoy.

Extra Time, run by Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT), aims at tackling these issues, helping to reduce social isolation.
