Bristol City bagged a late winner to end the U18s’ unbeaten start to the league season on Saturday.
The table toppers came from behind to claim a 3-2 triumph at the Robins High Performance Centre.
Kai Enslin gave Charlton a 13th-minute lead, racing onto Ibrahim Fullah’s through ball and rifling past Joe Duncan.
Fullah was the provider again on 27 minutes, playing a perfect pass forward for Micah Mbick, who drove into the penalty area before coolly finding the bottom corner with a left-footed finish.
Mbick soon teed up Fullah, though his shot was hooked off the line by Max Davies to prevent the young Addicks’ third.
Raekwan Nelson halved the hosts’ deficit on 62 minutes, finishing beyond Jude Sadler from 10 yards.
Bristol City found a leveller 10 minutes from time through substitute Luke Skinner, who converted the rebound after Nelson’s goalbound effort was bravely blocked by Luke Ashburn.
The Robins snatched all three points in the third minute of stoppage time as Davies found the back of the net from distance.
Next up for Jason Pearce’s side is a trip to Bournemouth on Saturday, November 18th (KO 12pm).
